The Apple iPad Tablet PC is finally getting an OS update! Sadly they are not getting the iOS 4.0 upgrade, but only 3.2.1!
This upgrade tries to address the some of the WI-FI connectivity problems that some users have been reporting. One of the biggest additions to this upgrade is to add Microsoft’s re-branded search engine “Bing”.
It is no secret in tech circles that Google and Apple are vying for market share with their operating systems and consumer products. With the addition of Bing to the added list of search engines you had use with Apple Safari it is setting the stage to phase out Google from Apples preferred list of search engines.
Other aspects that this operating system upgrade addresses is; fixing copy and pasting of PDF’s in Email, some codec fixes that would cause video to freeze, and improved reliability of video when plugged into the iPad Dock Connector.
The update for the Apple iPad can be installed by plugging your iPad into your computer and firing up iTunes and it will prompt you for an upgraded operating system.
