The Korea based company iRiver has been in the news just a few days ago for having landed exclusive rights to purchase e-books from the Google E-Bookstore directly into their new e-reader device. However, the company does not seem content to be only in the e-reader business as it also has a tablet PC up its sleeve for a release sometime soon.
Named ILT-MX100 or just the iRiver TAB, the device will mark iRiver’s first formal entry into the extremely competitive tablet business. However, and perhaps predictably so, while details of the upcoming tablet are scarce, the little that has come to the fore point out the device to have a 7 inch display with Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system.
The iRiver TAB will have 16 GB of in-built storage along with other features such as an integrated 5 megapixel camera, a DMB TV tuner along with 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Further details are awaited.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
