Tablet devices are quickly becoming more popular and it is no surprise kids have become enraptured with Angry Birds and Learning Games. Due to the fact kids are quickly hogging the parents iPads and other devices, they are starting to wake up to the risks that the tablet devices can pose. Experts have naturally gone on to study the effect of this quite immersive gadget upon the child and their mind. Experts from the field of child welfare recently came together to share theirs views on this very touchy issue.
So while Buckleitner, editor of Children’s Technology Review mentioned that this was a gadget that children would be glued to in the days to come, Lisa Guernsey, author of ‘How Electronic Media – From Baby Videos to Educational Software – Affects Your Young Child’ asked the elders to look out for tell tale signs when a child is found unable to go through a minimum 30 minute period without the need to look at a screen. There was also the general accepted opinion that children required human interaction for their proper growth rather than dependence on electronic devices. As such, parents using tablet for babysitting may just be introducing such devices too early in the life of their kids. I seem to recall my parents saying the same thing on coin-op games back in the day.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
