Remember the Kno tablet device, a dual screened tablet that is aimed primarily at the educational sector? It has been a long time since we last got to hear of it and it’s in the news again. This time with a firm launch schedule which is towards the end of the year. This is also the time when a lot of tablet devices have lined themselves up for a market launch and the Kno is one more addition to that list. And the reason why the makers of this dual screened tablet are able to come up with the launch window is that they have secured a whooping $46m funding that is needed to make the Kno tablet a market reality.
Buoyed by the fresh influx of funds, the CTO and Kno co-founder, Babur Habib has stated the company will start “beta testing this fall and ultimately for the first customer ship later this year.”
However, there is no word yet on the other most important aspect that can make or break a product’s fortunes in the market, it’s price. The Kno tablet with its 2 capacitive touchscreen displays will for sure won’t come cheap and it remains to be seen how pricey it will be.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
