LG has revealed how they plan to jump on board the Android ICS bandwagon. However, what is not so encouraging is that the earliest we can see the transition to ICS taking place is the second and third quarters of 2012. What this conforms to is the transition which they have termed ‘global upgrade schedule’ while the ‘global roll out’ is to be followed soon after.
“LG would like to thank its customers for their most valued loyalty and support. Further details on the ICS OS upgrade, including their exact start dates, will be released prior to their commencement. Please stay tuned for more updates from LG. Thank you.”
However, what is almost sure is that CyanogenMod will have its version of Android ICS for the LG devices much earlier than that. Also, in any case, LG has only just a single tablet — G-Slate in its line up so far and that too one that is 3D enabled, a world first. Hopefully, we get to see more of LG in the tablet domain.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
