Rumors of a bigger PlayBook tablet are here again, one that will have a 10 inch sized display. However, this time, there are some details of the PlayBook 2 also available that makes it a bit easier to make out what RIM is up to with the PlayBook 2 tablet.
Like apart from growing in size, the tablet itself will have thinner surrounds around the screen so that its the 10 inch display that itself will be the dominating feature up front. Then the tablet is also expected to be available in both white and black color options right from day one. Another interesting feature of the upcoming tablet that has come to the fore is that the bigger PlayBook will only be available in Wi-Fi / 4G versions which rules out a 3G version. The tablet will also come with a SIM card slot and will not require BlackBerry Bridge to connect to BES.
More details of the tablet are still elusive while the tablet itself is expected to make its debut around the holiday season this year. Also lets just hope RIM is wiser by that time to come up with an update of the QNX operating system so that the PlayBook 2 comes bundled with native e-mail, calendar, and other standard BlackBerry apps that we have come to expect from RIM.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
