The Transformer Prime is surely the (Android) tablet to have this holiday season. However, the huge demand notwithstanding, there has been some hiccups that Asus has been facing in ensuring there are enough to flaunt this Christmas. Its perhaps the less availability of the tablet that is only adding to it’s allure and the good thing is Asus is all too aware of that. Towards this, it has also stated there will be enough Transformer Prime tablet PCs to flood the US market. However, while all of that is good news, the not so good part of it is that more consignments are going to arrive only in January.
Unfortunately, there is further bad news for those in the UK who had opted for the 64 GB version of the Transformer Prime as Asus has stated those won’t be reaching markets before Q2 2012. Those who think they can’t wait that long are being offered to either switch over to the 32 GB version or cancel their orders. However, there are also some good news as the 32 GB version of the Prime has been made a bit cheaper in the UK. Like the Prime that until last week was up for pre-order at £550.80 (including VAT) has now been made more affordable at £499.99.
As of now, the Transformer Prime is the only tablet to boast of a Tegra 3 heart and will soon be seen running Android 4.0. However, while it won’t be the only tablet to be built around a Tegra 3 chipset for too long, the Transformer Prime will still continue to be the tablet to beat for quite some time on the battery front. For there are no other tablet or even an ultrabook in the horizon right now that can beat the around 16+ hours of backup time that the Transformer Prime is capable of right now.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
