The Motorola XOOM is finally waking up to the virtues of a competitive price tag in order to achieve a wider consumer base. So the tablet that opened sales at a ridiculously high price is now waiting to be picked up for a quite affordable $499, thanks to Verizon. This entails agreeing to a 2 year contract, though the price has also been lowered for those who prefer to have the XOOM off contract. The price for the latter comes to $599. This would seem even more sweet since the tablet is slated to be upgraded to 4G next month. Also, another reason why the XOOM should be considered is that the tablet is always the first to get all the updates on the Honeycomb front.
Meanwhile, there is also news of all XOOM owners being served notices by either Motorola or Verizon about procedures for the upgrade to 4G LTE. However, the upgrade isn’t likely to happen until September. More on this is awaited.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
