The Motorola XOOM has finally xoomed in on the Indian tablet scene with both 3G and Wi-Fi versions of the tablet now on sale. Both the versions have 32 GB of internal memory and are priced Rs. 32,990 (MRP: Rs 34,490) for the Wi-Fi only XOOM, while the same with 3G functionality will set one back by Rs 39,990 (MRP: Rs 41,490).
Speaking of the launch, Rajan Chawla, Mobile Devices business country head for Sales and Operations, India and South West Asia, Motorola Mobility said, “Motorola XOOM is redefining the tablet experience by pre-empting the future mobile experience today,” before also adding: “this tablet offers productivity while on the go, and provides more ways to have fun and connect with friends. Whether surfing the Web, watching the latest hit movie as it was intended or video-chatting with friends, Motorola XOOM will delight customers with its ease of use, speed, and vivid graphics. Motorola XOOM is everything that a tablet should be!”
As for the XOOM tablet specs, we already know it’s the first tablet to come loaded with Android Honeycomb. At its heart is the 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra dual core processor coupled to a gig of RAM, and of course comes with other goodies such as cameras at the front and the back, a HDMI port, and a host of built-in sensors such as gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer, and adaptive lighting.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
