Motorola has announced the launch of its XOOM tablet PC in Canada where it will go on sale this April. However, things will be different with the XOOM tablet in that its the Wi-Fi only version while its 3G counterpart will become available in the middle of this year. There are no price announcements as of now, though it’s likely to be in the vicinity of what the tablet costs in the US. The XOOM Wi-Fi costs $599 in United States and is the first tablet to feature Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
“This product is going to cross over and will appeal to business clients as well as consumers; prosumers if you will,” said the national account manager for Motorola Mobility Canada Ltd, Mr. Glenn Kennedy.
The iPad 2, XOOM’s main competitor will be launched in Canada on the 25th of March.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
