The Dell’s Streak and Mini range of Tablet PCs it seems is growing up. From the 5-inch tiny Dell Mini 5 Tablet that Dell unveiled at the CES earlier this year, the latest news that we have points towards a new range of Streak Tablet PC that will have 7 and 10 inch screen, which sure is enough to qualify it as a full blown tablet pc. The 5-inch Mini 5, on the other hand, looks more of an enlarged smartphone running on Google’s Android operating system.
Dell is loath to reveal any technical information as regards their new Tablet PCs or when these are expected to hit market. However, what can be guessed is that the 5-inch Dell Mini 5 is slated for release this summer while the 7-inch Streak is likely to make it to the market by the end of 2010. And as for the Streak 10, one will have to wait till 2011.
So, there’s one more iPad competitor in the making that Apple has to reckon with. Though there is no definitive information yet available, it sure looks like one more contender out to make a niche for itself in the booming Tablet PC segment. So there’s lot of excitement waiting to unfold.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
