We already know Motorola is readying a new line of tablet PCs that will not only replace its lone tablet offering, the XOOM, but will also expand to new horizons. There is a new XOOM 2 in the works, along with a new smaller tablet that some quarters believed will be named the Fleming.
However, recent reports bring in some confusion as to what exactly the size of the smaller tablet will be. While everyone believed it’s going to be a 7 inch model, as seems to be the industry standard, new details had emerged that led us to believe the smaller tablet will in fact be 8.2 inches. Now Digitimes is reporting Taiwan based Compal Electronics has landed orders to manufacture 25 to 35 hundred units of the new tablet PCs.
So while the expected November/December launch window still some time away, undoubtedly there will be plenty of leaks and rumors in between that will either make things all the more murky or clear the air.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
