The Notion Ink Adam has been one of the most awaited tablet device during the latter half of the year and was billed as one device that can humble even the mighty iPad. However, the problem is the tablet came out late – December 9 to be precise – and by this time, the iPad has already gone on to record sales that can be measured in millions of units sold.
However, late it might be but the Adam is already showing all the signs of making it to the millionaires club soon. While exact sales details are yet to come by, Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan has dropped hints in the company blog of a hundred thousand units of the Pixel Qi versions of the Adam already being booked. And the most interesting thing is, this happened within perhaps the first 24 hours of opening up the pre-order process itself. He had then also said they have “extremely high number of normal LCD panels available,” while further adding, “and that wont even go out of production (total number of these panels manufactured runs into millions a months).”
But this is exactly what has happened, as the company has now stopped accepting any further pre-orders of the Adam tablet. There is no news right now as to when the booking process is going to come up next though things are easier for those who have already placed their orders since the company is allowing them to view the current pre-order status.
Meanwhile, Notion Ink has come up with another video of the Adam tablet. Notion Ink though has stated the videos have been shot in real world conditions and are not the production quality or advertising videos, which, the company announced would be made available later.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
