While Notion Ink is still continuing with the ‘Coming Soon’ tag, a good thing with the Indian start-up company is that they are sharing the various development steps that the Adam tablet is going through right now so that we at least getting to have an idea of what’s going on.
In the latest blog post, Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan has talked about the scratch-resistant display that the Adam tablet will come with and the way they have tried to come up with just the perfect solution, a touchscreen that has a scratch resistant property to it like a glossy finish while actually having a matte finish to it. Color distortions has also been ensured has been kept to a minimum. They have put in a lot of effort in it and are pleased with the outcome.
Also, among the other details that Notion Ink has come up with are:
- A GPS Navigation Software that is now in beta phase and it can communicate in 43 languages.
- A special three-pane file browser christened Sniffer will be part of the Adamtablets. package and has been designed for use in wide screen
- There is also a Paint + Photo Editor, also in Beta.
There is some insight into the e-mail feature that Sharavan has often quoted will be a revolutionary one and we now know some bits of it. For one, it will be called Mail’d, and will work while it is both online or offline mode and includes a special undo sent mail feature that will perhaps allow one to roll back a mail that has already been sent. It too is in beta stage right now.
The company has also released two new videos of the Adam tablet, but they do not really give anything away. In the meantime, let’s hope on some specific news on when exactly the Adam will launch and when.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
