Asus has been pushing a firmware update for the original Transformer tablet PCs. The update is available for those living in the US, UK, Taiwan, and Germany, while the update will also be applicable for the Transformer devices with generic WW SKU. Also, the update (version 8.6.5.21-20111216) will be available OTA and has already brought a lot of Transformer devices to the next higher level. However, the Android version remains the same and is likely to continue as such before Asus comes out with the all important update to Android ICS.
Meanwhile, what does the present update do to the Transformer tablet PCs?
It includes HDMI fix for new HDTVs, as well as updated applications, while also ensuring the entire tablet operation is more stable. Reducing input lag is another aspect that the new update focuses on.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
