Earlier this week Research in Motion has released the revised update for the Blackberry Playbook. Among other factors it has a built in Google Android emulator that allows developers to port over APK files into the propitiatory BAR format. The average user now is in a unique position to not exclusively depend on App World for your content but you can now side-load in your own apps to the Playbook. Look no further then our own Good e-Reader App Store to find a wellspring of great programs to load into the Playbook.
We currently have over 50 applications available that allow you to download and install on your Blackberry Playbook. Our company has spent the last three days converting Android files and signing them with our developers certificact and then testing them to make sure they work 100% before posting them for the public. This insures a level of quality and control which we remain committed too under our all initiatives.
One of the drawbacks on the official App World by RIM is that it is really dilluted with awful games and applications. The company is really focused on appealing to a wide range of developers by offering them free Playbook tablets to develop for their platform. This creates a problem where we see a ton of cloned content and sub-par programs from indie developers. For every good program there is equally 10 bad ones. The intention with our market is to offer the highest quality and our own “Editors Choice” of programs available. We might only have 50 apps and games in our market right now, but its the ones everyone wants. Additionally all the apps we feature are NOT available in the RIM APP world and likely will never be offered.
So if you are looking for Dropbox, Kindle, Google Maps, Pandora, Twitter, and Google Voice, you can get them from us! It really does look like RIM is not actively looking to get most of these companies listing their official apps in App World, so our store is the ONLY alternative. Loading apps in yourself can be a daunting process for new users, so we have made it easier then ever with our line of video tutorials and essential software.
