For those who are looking for a method to root their BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, there is good news at hand. For there is soon to be a utility tool named DingleBerry that would make it possible for anyone to root their PlayBook device. This in turn will open up features and settings that otherwise are not available to users of the device.
DingleBerry is being developed by a team of developers that exploited a certain security hole in the PlayBook. RIM naturally just can’t allow such security holes to be left open in the wild and are in the process of identifying the lapse and would secure it thereafter for sure.
It’s therefore presently a race between the DingleBerry developers and the RIM guys with each trying to outsmart the other. While the former is trying to come up with the utility tool, RIM on its part is all too eager to have the security hole plugged since such a thing makes the PlayBook vulnerable to malicious attacks.
RIM though has stated users of the BlackBerry smartphone need not worry of any security lapse as all of them are based on the BlackBerry OS while the PlayBook runs QNX operating system. However, its RIM’s next OS — BBX which is a combination of the QNX and the BlackBerry OS that will in the spotlight as the last thing that RIM loyalists will like to face is the BBX also suffering from a security lapse.
Meanwhile, DingleBerry has already set up their own website though no tools for rooting the device has yet been revealed. As for RIM, its definitely not the best of times they are going through while the latest security fiasco has complicated things for RIM all the more.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
