SmartQ has come up with a new tablet device and it runs on – well you might have guessed it already – the Android OS. The China based company has already a sizeable presence in the tablet segment in the domestic market and the new device is designed to bolster its presence further.
The new tablet which they have named the SmartQ V3 tablet can be seen as the continuation of the company’s V5 and the V7 range and is even considered a scaled down version of the V5.
Coming to its specs, the SmartQ V3 comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen with a 600MHz ARM11-based processor running the show from behind the scene. Coupled to the processor is a 256MB DDR2 RAM while there also is 3D graphics acceleration. The tablet is able to playback 1080p video and also includes mini-HDMI output along with USB OTG and headphone-out. The operating system, as has already been mentioned is Android, version 2.1.
SmartQ sources revealed the tablet will be entering markets sometime soon and will carry a price tag of just 650 RMB or about US$96. However, there is no news if the tablet will be made available elsewhere in the world.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
