Tablet PCs are clearly the latest in thing. Something that is bourne out by the fact that almost every other company even remotely associated with computers can be seen engaged in the development of tablet PCs. So if Sony Ericsson, which already has a credible presence in the smartphone segment decides to venture into the hotly contested tablet arena, it should hardly come as a surprise. Or rather, it should be seen as just the next phase of evolution that it has not entered into.
However, its just the picture above that is all that is available right now to support the rumors of a tablet from the company formed by the alliance of Japan’s Sony and Sweden’s Ericsson. Details are extremely scarce and the precious few that is known points to a device that is likely to have some flavor of Android as its operating system, a 7 inch sized screen along with a 3 megapixel camera. The tablet also has TD-LTE 4G shown on its front which is a 4G network in use by China Mobile – the carrier that Sony Ericsson has also announced it is associated with. Also, the tablet is reported to be undergoing tests in Germany which if true will mean the device is for a global consumption and not just for China.
However, the tablet isn’t the best looking around what with the heavy cladding around the sides. But lest not forget, this is just an early prototype and there might be a lot of changes waiting. Hopefully the tablet does change for the better.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
