Nothing can be better than this if this soon turns out to be the latest trend in the tablet PC segment. That of bringing down prices to more affordable and manageable levels. First up, it was the 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab that saw its prices slashed by a healthy margin, something that was a huge and welcome relief for a tablet that carried the dubious distinction of being too steep priced in spite of it being exemplary in performance.
And now, its the Dell Streak tablet that is the latest to be given the dose of price reduction, something that mounts to a quite generous $180 at one go so that the Streak tablet in its unlocked SIM free state will now limit the damage inflicted on your purse to $400.
There is a problem though. The 5 incher is not going to be available right way and things will remain so till the 10th of January. Also, the Streaks right now is shipping with the Android 1.6 and Dell has stated the update to Froyo is just round the corner. Also, the color choice with these Streaks is also limited to just black.
However, if you think you can’t wait that longer, there is no stopping you on picking up the Streaks on contract. These are available right now for $200.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
