The Toshiba Thrive has just entered markets but is already feeling sleepy. It is apparently so tired that it refuses to wake up even after repeated nudges, leaving users with no other option but to go for a hard reboot. However, Toshiba has already jumped into action, acknowledged the problem, and are reassuring Thrive users a fix is in the works and will be released soon.
“We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix,” revealed Toshiba sources though what it did not reveal is any specific time frame within which the fix is likely to be available. The source however did mention the fix would be released via Toshiba’s Service Station pre-loaded application.
Return rates have naturally been picking up at an alarming rate, though now that Toshiba is in the thick of things, it might still be a good idea to hold on to your Thrive. The tablet otherwise has pretty solid hardware and does look and feel tough. It is a decent option for those looking for a 10 inch tablet running Honeycomb, and it’s really good to see that Toshiba is eager to work a solution for the Thrive sleep issues.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
