Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet from today. This schedule is 3 days ahead of the 12 January date that Asus had said the update would be introduced.
The Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be the first premium tablet to feature Android 4.0. It is the first tablet to ship with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor. However, technically it is not the first Android 4.0 tablet though. Rather it is the $99 Ainol Novo 7 tablet that walks away with that crown.
Asus is also touted to be working on a model, which is the version of Transformer Prime with a 1920 X 1200 pixel HD display later this year. It will be priced at around $599 and above and will ship with Android 4.0 ICS.
Meanwhile, Asus has already stated the original Transformer will also be provided with the update to Android 4.0 though its priority has been set below that of the Transformer Prime. However, with the Transformer Prime itself getting the update ahead of schedule, Transformer users too can expect an early solution.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
