During the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas, we met spoke with senior management at Viewsonic. The company was showing off its “all in one” PC’s running Google Android. It seems as though that Viewsonic has axed its tablet business in North America and Europe. The company cited over-saturation of the marketplace and the number of competitors taking a loss on the hardware and making their money back via digital purchases. They intend on marketing tablets in Taiwan and other Asian markets, but are gravitating its business back to computers and monitors over tablet computers.
