The HP TouchPad garnered the most ravenous attention to a tablet computer since the launch of the iPad 1 and iPad 2. It is too bad the only way HP could have done this was by cancelling the TouchPad manufacturing and selling them at a steep loss. Since Friday of last week we have been covering the locations that had them for sale. There are still a few around and this weekend, which could be yours to buy one for the first time.
Best Buy – Best Buy will be getting a number of 16 GB and 32 GB TouchPads today at specific locations. They will not be updating their online listings and the best way to know if they are having them in stock before you may the trek to the store, is to call them and ask them about the SKU. The 16 GB SKU is 2842056 and the 32 GB SKU is 2842092. If you live in Canada, don’t bother. Best Buy has informed us that the last shipments will be destined for the USA only, because of accelerated demand.
HP.COM – The website has a feature that allows them to notify you when they have them in stock. You can check that out HERE. You can also continue to see if they have them in stock HERE. Also, if you have already ordered a TouchPad from the official HP website and want to know all the details regarding the order, if it has been shipped, and so on.
