Samsung is going to be releasing a new 18 inch tablet within the next month. It looks this this device will be sold via AT&T since it has LTE compatibility, which means you can buy e-books, magazines and newspapers while on the go.
The Samsung View is expected to have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 , an Exynos 7580 octa-core processor, a 5,700 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The FCC documents outline that it has 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE.
Most phones have better resolution than what the View has, ditto with the iPad PRO and Surface 4. Still, this device might likely take the cake for the largest screen on a portable tablet.
The big question is, would you consider buying this in order to read e-books or magazines? The extra large screen might be appealing to people with vision issues, who need to increase the size of the fonts. Normally when you jack up the font size with a six to nine inch screen, hardly any text shows up. An 18 inch screen might be very appealing to a niche audience who wants the biggest screen possible to read.
