The ALA Midwinter Conference starts January 25th in Seattle and Good e-Reader will be live on the scene! This year, many librarians and digital companies will be in attendance, all of whom will be discussing the current state of affairs in the industry.
There will be many sessions during the 3 day event that cover issues like Big Data, Building HTMl5 Apps, and online learning. Librarians will get a chance to weigh in on social media and how Facebook can leverage greater community outreach.
One of the great aspects of the ALA event is the exhibitors! Librarians who are seeking out a digital strategy will not want to miss 3M Cloud Library and Overdrive. Ingram, Baker and Taylor, John Wiley, Scholastic, Simon and Shuster, and many other top publishers/distributors will be showcasing their new books and products.
Good e-Reader will be attending this event in two weeks! We will be bringing you exclusive interviews, news, and all of the major aspects of this get-together. If you are attending and want to speak with us, send me an email HERE. Good e-Reader intends on being your definitive source for the entire conference, so if you are an librarian and cannot attend, you can live it vicariously through us! Also, next week we are sending Paul Biba and Mercy Pilkington to Digital Book World!
