The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan has announced it is introducing E Ink display billboards in the museum campus to create a sustainable and low-carbon environment within the museum, the website tw.news.yahoo.com reported. This can be considered part of its commitment to the environment and promoting means to reduce carbon emissions, conserve natural resources, and encourage sustainable practices. Coupled with innovative technology, the e-paper billboard is designed to offer information and details in real time that ensures the visitors have a worthwhile experience at the museum.
However, unlike the straightforward installation of e-paper billboards at strategic locations, the present collaboration is unique in that it combines the e-paper displays with specialized robotic arms to enhance and enrich visitors’ engagement. For this, the museum has partnered with E Ink and Hiwin Technology for the project ‘Meeting Time. Designed by artist Luo Helin, the project also involves the active participation of the Swissinfo intelligent electronic paper integration technology.
The project ‘Meeting Time’ aims to offer visitors an artistic depiction of the 30-year history of the National Kaohsiung Fine Arts Museum. It is an interactive art installation that visitors can experience in a manner they find conducive. This makes it a perfect example of cutting-edge robotic technology coupled with e-paper displays, offering visitors something truly enriching and immersive. It also conveys that exploring low-carbon solutions for a sustainable future is the need of the hour.
The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts is also the first in Taiwan to see a large-scale installation of E Ink displays for public use. Last year, 14 e-paper billboards were installed at the museum to cater to the visitors’ needs.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
