Amazon Prime members are now eligible for same-day delivery in Toronto and Vancouver. In order to qualify for the deal you have to order products that are fulfilled directly from Amazon, there are around 700,00 of them. Amazon is offering free same-day shipping if you spend more than $25.00 for your order and it costs a bit more if you buy heavier things. If you just want a single item, the charge is $3.99.
“Prime was developed to make shopping on Amazon fast and convenient, and Prime members in Canada can now enjoy fast, unlimited, free Prime delivery seven days a week,” spokesman Alexandre Gagnon said.
I have noticed over the course of the past few months that when you select free two day shipping the packages are sent in Amazon branded vehicles, the delivery drivers even have Amazon logos on their clothing. One day delivery for items you need right away normally are sent via private couriers. It remains to be seen who is actually going to deliver packages for same day delivery.
Prime membership costs $79 per year in Canada. You can get access to free two day shipping, the Kindle Lending Library and a slew of other benefits. Sadly, Prime Video and Prime music are only available in the United States.
