It’s the scariest time of the year, and there are plenty of digital comics deals this weekend to help you get into the Halloween mood.
ComiXology has two scary series on sale. 30 Days of Night, by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, is a vampire tale set in an Alaskan town, where it stays dark for a month in winter—giving the local vampires free rein. The first issue is free, and the other single issues and collections are all marked down.
Grimm is a supernatural detective story based on the NBC series of the same name, and again, the first issue is free so you can check it out for yourself. The first three issues are digital-exclusive.
Dark Horse digital’s Monster Sale features Dracula, Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein, Vampirella, Solomon Kane, and more.
Amazon doesn’t seem to be in the mood—their Deals page is pretty much the same as last week, with Spider-Man: Big Time, vol. 1 of Joss Whedon and John Cassaday’s Astonishing X-Men, and some books of gag cartoons, including Dilbert. While it’s not a comic, the big treat on this page is probably Al Jaffee’s Mad Life: A Biography, at $1.99.
And finally, Digital Manga is marking down one volume a day of several supernatural-themed series, including Taimashin, Yashakiden, Diablo, and Vampire Hunter D, on their eManga site. Warning: That first link is NSFW, as the markdowns are followed by promos for some seriously adult manga.
