Today Ape Entertainment and its KiZoic imprint are going to start distributing digital editions via iVerse. This is an exclusive partnership that will allow customers on iOS and Android to get their comics fix with the Comics Plus platform.
Ape tends to work with established properties and release comics to tap into its fan bases. Strawberry Shortcake, Kung FU Panda, Megamind, and Cut the Rope mark a few of the popular series.
“We’re excited that our Comics Plus platform will become the exclusive digital venue for great Ape Entertainment Comics like Pocket God, Richie Rich, Strawberry Shortcake, the Dreamworks titles, and more,” said Michael Murphey, iVerse CEO. “We’ve long shared Ape’s commitment to entertainment for all ages and we’re pleased to provide our readers with such an outstanding range of choices.”
“We’re thrilled to be working with iVerse on this new initiative,” Brent Erwin, Ape Entertainment COO. “Michael pioneered the digital comics medium and we could not be happier to have him and his company as our exclusive digital partner. We’re particularly delighted to debut our upcoming comics on ComicsPlus, especially titles like Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, and Squids.”
The first digital comic to be released under the exclusive agreement is a spin off of Temple Run, followed by Squids, and then Fruit Ninja. Future titles and release plans will be announced soon.
