Marvel and Amazon have officially come to terms on a new agreement. The two sides have unveiled 120 Marvel Comics Graphic Novels on the Amazon Store. This will allow customers to buy them for both the Kindle Fire line of tablets and the e-ink versions. If you don’t have a Kindle device, you can still purchase the digital comics and read them on any device or platform with an official Kindle app or web-browser.
You can find popular series, such as the X-Men, Avengers, Spider Man, Deadpool, Iron Man, and many others! The Marvel Graphic novels are tied into the Amazon Guided View technology, which lets you isolate specific frames and make them full screen. These new comics are ideal for the full color touchscreen experience that the Kindle Fire HD line brings to the table. Each graphic novel comprises of around 5 different comics and is retailing on average for $7.00.
“Marvel brings fans the best graphic novels in the world and we’re proud to expand that reach through the Kindle Store,” said Peter Phillips, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Marvel Digital Media Group. “It’s been a pleasure working with Amazon to bring fans the stories they’ve demanded via all Kindle Fire devices and mobile devices with the free Kindle reading app. Together we’re committed to bringing new fans to the world of comics with an excellent reading experience and unparalleled storytelling.”
There is no word on single issue comics yet, but DC is currently coming to terms with major online retailers to bring them in. Graphic Novels are fine, but they tend to lag behind the singles issue releases. You can check out the new dedicated section on the Amazon ebook store HERE.
