Todd McFarlane’s Spawn has been solely available in printed form for all 250 issues. The entire library of Spawn, as well as all twenty volumes of Spawn Origins, are now available digitally for the first time via Comixology.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Todd said that he wanted to be an early adopter of digital with Spawn, but the comic book stores wanted a series that would be sold exclusively in brick and motor stores. Finally, the call was made by Image to take it digital, because of declining sales.
Spawn launched in 1992 at Image Comics shortly after McFarlane became one of the founders of the publisher with a group of former Marvel colleagues. For the last 23 years over 5,300 pages have been generated finally they are all available to read on your smartphone or tablet.
