Overdrive unveiled a new digital magazine system in June and they launched with 50 titles. The company ironed out a deal with Magzter for their catalog, which seems to be working. Over twenty thousand magazine checkouts have been racked up in the past month and thousands more are occurring every day.
In order to make their digital catalog viable, Overdrive has just doubled the number of titles that are available. Libraries now have the option to carry over 100 magazine titles for their patrons. The full collection of magazines are offered for simultaneous use and there are no circulation caps on these magazines.
Some of the most notable magazines that are available are Cosmopolitan, Clean Eating, OK!, O, The Oprah Magazine, Newsweek, WellBeing, Bloomberg, Crochet!, Hot Rod and countless other selections sure to interest readers.
Overdrive Libby right now is the only app that is compatible with digital magazines. You will need to download the new streamlined app from Google Play, Apple App Store or the Good e-Reader App Store.
