Bath, UK based Bardowl in the past has won a Futurebook Innovation award for its technologies. Its service was first developed almost three years before Spotify officially launched. The company had troubles convincing publishers to adopt a subscription based model. Many of the companies it is trying to woo will pay close attention to the first few weeks of its launch. The prospective partners’ intention is to check out whether this is a viable way to distribute content and earn some revenue. The company is really hoping for 1,000 audiobooks to be available within a few months.
When you download an audiobook, it can be used for online or offline use. This is perfect for people who travel on airplanes or during a commute, where wireless internet access is not available
