Marvel comics just updated their app for the iPad 3 giving you a taste of pure HD comics! Comic books that have higher resolutions will have a small red HD label on the right hand side and boy do they look great!
Ever since the new iPad came out last Friday people have been looking for reasons to take advantage of the new high resolution display. Games and Apps are few and far between but leading the charge are comic book companies. Marvel is one of the more mainstream companies to lead the charge giving you comics unlike any other platform. Most new issues of comic books you can buy now have the HD flag that gives you amazing cover art and content within the pages. Prices are remaining the same but the overall size of the downloads has increased up to 25 to 30 MB of data.
Another new change in the way HD comic books are delivered is that you don’t have to wait for the book to fully download before you start reading it. As you open up the comic each page is downloaded individually! So as soon as you purchase it you can read it right away without having to wait the few minutes for the entire book to download.
The new Apple iPad is quickly becoming a comic book lovers dream with the ability to pack resolutions superior to even the most expensive HD television. After reading a few comics in the new high-definition format it is challenging to go back to the old digital method.
