The Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program is celebrating their 32nd year by offering two free Kindle books. Unlike previous years these e-books do not require a download code, but can be sent to your Kindle, Fire Tablet or e-reading app. This is the second year Book IT has been working with Amazon, but the first year an audio book has been included.
Pizza Hut is launching the BOOK IT! Page Turner Grant Program, which will give away 32 grants totaling $50,000 to applicants who are making a positive impact in their community by enabling access, empowering teachers and inspiring readers. BOOK IT! will recognize individuals, organizations, children, adults and educators who are committed to promoting literacy and reading in their communities.
“It’s vitally important for Pizza Hut to continue to make an impact in the local communities that we serve,” said Doug Terfehr, Senior Director, Social Impact at Pizza Hut. “The Page Turner Grant program is an opportunity to celebrate and support those who are taking the time to help people become their best through literacy and reading. Whether fostering book ownership, providing resources for teachers or helping students find the joy in reading, we are thrilled to provide this opportunity in our ongoing commitment to literacy.”
