Playster fired the vast majority of their employees a couple of weeks ago and management told them to keep it a secret. The company has just released a statement letting everyone know the service is not closing down anytime soon, but will be investing in AI.
Playster has told Good e-Reader that “In order to stay competitive, Playster has reorganized its team and shifted its focus towards technology — such as AI, audience segmentation and deep learning — to better tailor its offering for every member. As a result, some users may notice changes in their available content and personalized recommendations from week to week.”
