Users of the Kindle app for Android are in for a treat. For Amazon has just released an update for the e-reader app, version 2.0 to be precise which includes some significant enhancements.
So for the end user, what the update boils down to is that this will enable them to now enjoy access to Amazon’s library of e-newspapers and e-magazines which number above 100 each. The social networking feature too has received some tweaks so that the reading progress now also shows the updates you have received on your facebook or twitter accounts. The Version 2.0 of the Amazon for Android app also allows users the ability to zoom images and graphics by double tapping on them or to use the volume keys to turn the page if they so wish.
Then there are some changes meted out to the UI such as the appearance of the chapter title in the reader status bar while users now also have the convenience of purchasing content in-app. The updated app also offer the significant advantage of allowing users the choice to store the app even on a microSD card which too has been made compliant.
The updated version is already available from the Android Market for download and as has been, it comes free.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
