Amazon has re-invented itself (well sort of) and has presented itself as the one stop shopping destination, while keeping its core aspects untouched. Called Amazon Windowshop, it’s a free app for the iPad and continues to hold on to the qualities that has made Amazon so endearing to all those who swear by the low prices, fast delivery, and the many benefits it has on offer. It has in fact been made to deliver the same level of support in any touchscreen based devices that you’d otherwise get at Amazon, including 1-click purchases and Wish List support.
The new Amazon app allows users to flick through the seemingly endless stream of products until you come across one that catches your eyes. Tapping on the image opens another window that contains further details of the particular product, such as photos, details, reviews, and almost everything else that you’d like to know. And if you think it fits your requirement, you can go on to complete the purchase right from within the app itself.
As of now, the app is working only in landscape mode and is restricted to the US. Surely, both of these areas will be taken care of in due course of time, but until then it’s happy shopping at Amazon Windowshop.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
