Barnes and Noble has partnered with tablet maker E FUN to have their Nook Reading App bundled on all of their devices. Anyone who purchases a new E FUN tablet will be able to get free access to six digital magazines; WeightWatchers, Men’s Health, Shape, Reader’s Digest, Rachel Ray every day, and Better Homes & Gardens.
“We are pleased to team up with Barnes and Noble to offer owners of our Nextbook Ares 8A, Ares 10A, and Ares 11A tablets free current issues of six of the most popular magazines found on the NOOK Reading App,” said Jason Liszewski, E FUN managing director and VP of sales. “These three feature-rich Nextbook Ares Android models are the perfect size for whiling away the time engrossed in a current periodical or the latest best seller.”
All three of these E FUN Nextbook Ares units are value-priced and available now exclusively at nearly 3,900 Walmart locations across the country and through Walmart.com. The Ares 8A is priced at $68, the Ares 10A at $98, and the Ares 11A at $179.
Barnes and Noble has been doing business with E-Fun since 2013 when the two companies made an agreement to have the Nook e-reading software pre-installed on all current and future generation Android tablets. It is too bad that B&N has not made more strategic decisions like this, having their app available out of the box is great publicity.
