Digital textbook publisher Inkling was at the IDPF Digital Book event today to demonstrate some new features within the academic ebook developer’s interactive content. New to the platform is Inkling Habitat, a cloud-based interface that lets users access their Inkling content from anywhere.
MacInnis walked the attendees through a projected scenario of various books, as well as demonstrating how the material looks on different devices. Aside from the compatibility, he also demonstrated switching from one device to another in the middle of access which is instantly reflowing the content.
Inkling Habitat will launch this fall, making it available to all publishers for academic and DIY markets. Those current publishers who work with Inkling are bringing more and more brands to the interactive ebook platform.
