zuuka and iStoryTime announced today the hiring of a new Creative Director, Paul Mueller-Bruehl, formerly the Design Lead, Mobile Commerce of Apple, Inc.
“Our interactive storytelling and educational apps are about offering parents and their children a unique experience that captivates their imagination and Paul shares that same vision,” said Graharm Farrar, founder of zuuka. “We are excited to have him join our growing team and bring his amazing mobile experience to zuuka.”
iStoryTime is best known for its award-winning and best-selling interactive and enhanced children’s books apps, many of which have remained at the top of the iTunes sales lists. A large number of the titles that iStoryTime has released contain original voiceover and screen stills from popular children’s movies such as Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon, and The Penguins of Madagascar.
iStoryTime has been a mainstay in children’s content for iOS-enabled devices, but recently made a larger scale return to Android ever since the advent of devices like the Kindle Fire and the Nook COLOR, both of which are highly engaging for digital reading.
Mueller-Bruehl managed the team efforts of internal and freelance designers, copywriters, developers from the US and abroad to deliver creative for global and national clients. Beginning early this month, he will be responsible for leading zuuka’s design department in order to reinvent the art of storytelling and expand its library of children’s digital titles.
