Public pressure has prompted Amazon to slash the prices of the Kindle Oasis 2 covers. The company has discounted the fabric covers by $15 now and are now available for $29.99. The Premium Leather Standing Covers used to be $59.99 and are now $39.99.
Each one of these products have a few hundred reviews and the vast majority are negative. The average rating is two stars, which is quite abysmal. People are proclaiming that the magnets that keep the cover closed are weak and the Oasis 2 is falling out. When you convert the case into an e-reader stand it constantly falls out. The edges of the case are unnecessary sharp as well.
Amazon has not temporary changed the pricing of all their Oasis 2 cases, this is the new price going forward.
