The HP TouchPad fire-sale seems to be dying out and most stores and online shops are completely dry. It seems so many orders were placed with Barnes and Noble, HP, BBB.Org, Onsale and many other sites are finally catching on their inventory and cancelling orders. All of the cancelling of orders is invoking the ire of people who had their hopes they would capitalize on the deal. Many have taken to popular social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter to express their disdain.
There are still a few places that will be selling the HP TouchPad today, if you know where to look!
handtec.co.uk – United Kingdom based website! Sources within the company have told us that during the next 24 hours they are going to open their orders up. No word yet if the company will ship them overseas.
HP.COM – Many companies not participating in the TouchPad $99 TouchPad deal are sending their units back to HP. The company has told us that they plan on selling hundreds of them soon. It seems daily they open up their orders for a small period of time and then close them again. Keep checking their site because the deals could go live at any time.
Bestbuy – Bestbuy put out a message today stating that all remaining inventory will be sent out to various stores. They will be available on a first come and first serve basis. Not all locations in the USA and Canada will be getting them.
We will be updating this thread during the day, so keep checking back.
