Amazon has been selling Kindle e-readers since 2007 and over the course of the last few years they offer discounts. Every few months the company marks down their entire portfolio, giving people a chance to save between $10 and $30 on an e-reader or tablet. These deals do not get promoted very much, aside from Good e-Reader giving you the skinny on every single discount. With that being said, why would you ever pay full price for a Kindle?
If you are in the market for a brand new Amazon e-reader, the Seattle company has marked down a number of units, just in time for Valentines Day.  The 7 inch Fire tablet is $40, a $10 savings and the the basic Kindle is $60, with a $20 savings. The Kindle for Kids bundle is $80, which is $20 less than the normal price and the Paperwhite 3 is $20 off and will only cost you $100.
The last time Amazon provided savings like this was for Black Friday and again a few weeks before the holiday season. I think if you are in the market for a new Amazon tablet or e-reader, don’t pay full price. Just wait until they offer discounts.
