Kobo is now offering manga in EPUB from English manga distributor Kodansha. This will allow readers to read hundreds of of popular series such as Attack on Titan, Noragami: Stray God, Vinland Saga, The Seven Deadly Sins and Your Lie in April.
Kobo initially signed an agreement with Kodansha in January when they added popular weekly and monthly manga magazines for men, such as “Young Magazine”, “Weekly Shonen Magazine” and “Monthly Shonen Magazine,” which had previously been unreleased in the e-book format.
A few weeks ago Kodansha announced plans to increase the number of manga titles released simultaneously in the United States to 30, up from the current 20, by the end of 2015. In addition, their English manga library will rise to 2,000 by the end of 2017, up from the current level of about 400.
If you have a Kobo e-reader, such as the Kobo Glo HD or Kobo Touch 2.0 you can check out the content currently available on your platform by visiting the online store. Additionally, all of the manga is now available to be purchased with Super Points, which is Kobo’s new loyalty reward program.
