To keep in tune with the most happening event of 2012: Acer is printing the Olympic theme on its Android tablets to be released this year.
The Acer Iconia Tab A510 had been showcased at the CES held in January. This tablet now comes with the Olympic logo in addition to the Acer logo in the Olympics Games Edition variant.
The hardware details of the tablet include an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The display is of 10.1 inch dimension and resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 9800 mAh battery that Acer claims will provide the A510 with almost 15 hours of HD playback time. This apart, the A510 will feature Dolby Mobile 3+ with premium 5.1-channel HD output and will run the latest Android 4.0 ICS.
There is also the Iconia Tab A700 model that will be the Olympic themed version. The hardware specification is nearly same as that of the Tab A510, only the screen would be bigger at 10.1 inches along with a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Sports events like the Olympics are held once in 4 years and will be history within a month after it’s over. As such, tablet devices with the Olympic logo printed on their rear may not be that big a deal after the events, though the tablet should still appeal to sports enthusiasts and serve as a memento of the great sporting extravaganza.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
