While Apple has already in place an exclusive deal with Liquidmetal that entitles it to use the wonder metal on devices that comes out of the Cupertino based company’s production lines, it seems Apple isn’t just contend with that and wants to build upon the existing liquidmetal technology a bit more. And it is on a hiring spree right now, letting everyone know they are in need of those who are highly proficient on amorphous metals with an engineering degree on the same being an absolute requirement.
Specifically, what Apple is in need of is Amorphous Metal Development Managers, Amorphous Metal Development Engineer as well as Metal Process Development Engineer. Apple is already known to have shipped some iPad that had liquidmetals contributing some portions of the metal areas of the tablet. To be specific, its the SIM-card ejector-tool that was done in Liquidmetal in some of the iPads shipped in North America.
It might be mentioned here that Liquidmetal is a brand name of Californian Liquidmetal Technologies which Apple had acquired some time ago while the Liquidmetal in question is actually an alloy which when cool get’s transformed into a glass-like structure that’s incredibly hard and stiff while being light.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
