Apple has seen massive pre-orders for its Apple iPad 3 model announced last week. If you did not order it online the first day, the company keeps pushing back the shipping date from a few days after the 16th to several weeks from now to account for the record number of orders.
Apple told the USA Today that “Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased,” Apple said in a statement. “Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”
Industry insiders claim that over 300,000 iPads were per-ordered on the very first day they were available and over one million will be sold on the 16th, when they go on sale. Unlike previous releases of the iPad, this is going to be a global launch. If you feel like braving the crowds this Friday, it will be available in Canada, USA, Europe, and Asia.
