If you have been looking for ways to personalize your iPads, here it is at last! The best thing is that the service is being offered from the makers of the device and they are all to glad to offer it free. While this isn’t new to iDevices — as Apple has been providing such a service for the iPod for years now — what’s exciting is that the service has now been extended to cover the iPad as well.
Also, the free engraving service was waiting to take off for months now and this seems to be the right time, what with the holiday season coming round the corner. Up until now, the same thing was being done through third party companies that charge anything from $10 or even more. Apple isn’t charging anything to engrave two lines of text or less on the backs of the iPads that have been purchased from Apple online stores.
However, this will delay the shipment from 24 hours to about 72 business hours. In fact, the delay might go up significantly if the engraving proves popular. That is, if you wish to have an iPad engraved with custom text during Christmas, you might have to start early and place your orders by next month. The service covers both the Wi-Fi as well as the 3G versions of the iPad.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
